Three-Day Event Features Five Educational Tracks, Virtual Exhibit Hall, Keynote Presentations
Hamilton, NJ – The New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA), a state affiliate of the National Association of Home Builders, is leading the way in virtual conferencing and green building by hosting the inaugural
Virtual Green Build Event – an online green building expo. The expo convenes January 12-14, 2010 where participation and interaction is done entirely through the convenience of a desktop computer, making “attendance” both cost-effective and user-friendly. What makes this event different from traditional webinars or online meetings is the use of a cutting-edge, interactive web platform that creates a virtual tradeshow and expo.
Leading experts in residential construction, commercial and industrial development, remodeling and redevelopment, governmental policy, and marketing will present informative and educational seminars throughout the three-day conference. In addition, a virtual exhibit hall will feature the latest products and services pertaining to green building, so that all participants can maximize their investment of time and resources. The five educational tracks include: residential – new construction; residential – remodeling/redevelopment; government policy – Federal, state & local; commercial & industrial construction; and marketing.
This first-ever show of its kind will attract presenters, keynote speakers, exhibitors and participants, alike, from throughout the U.S. and, in keeping with the “green” theme, the event is being promoted exclusively online via the Internet and social networking sites such as
Facebook,
LinkedIn and
Twitter. The event is open to everyone affiliated with green building and the homebuilding industry, and all are encouraged to participate, contribute and attend. Space is limited and registration is restricted to the first 500 attendees.
The cost to attend on line is $125 for those who register before December 4, 2009, or $150 thereafter.
Keynote presenters who have been invited to participate include: Lisa Jackson, EPA Administrator; Jeanne Fox, BPU President; and Ralph Izzo, Chairman, President & CEO of PSE&G.
According to NJBA President Michael Karmatz, “The NJBA is thrilled to be hosting the inaugural Virtual Green Build Event. As we move forward as an industry and as a society, so too does the NJBA by adapting to and advancing emerging trends and technologies. The NJBA embraces the opportunity to champion and support such efforts as evidenced in the use of virtual conferencing for the purpose of education, networking, conservation and commerce.”
George Vallone of the Hoboken Brownstone Company shared, “As a ‘green’ builder, I value the opportunity to participate in the Virtual Green Build Event, and I plan to take advantage of all that is available through this platform. There is so much to learn in terms of emerging products, best practices, available services, accreditation standards, governmental policy, regulations and financial incentives – like grants and tax credits, to name a few. This expo will afford me the opportunity to meet and network with other professionals in the field from the convenience of my office. It’s truly a ‘green’ event – one that is most worthy of my time and resources.”
Exhibit space is available for $550 for contracts received before December 4, 2009, or $650 thereafter. Those contracted to exhibit at the
61st Annual Atlantic Builders Convention (ABC) taking place April 14-16, 2010 in Atlantic City, NJ will receive a special exhibitor discount, and can reserve exhibit space at the Virtual Green Guild Event for just $325. Just 100 exhibit spaces are available.
There are also a limited number of valuable and cost-effective advertising, marketing and sponsorship opportunities available. Additional information – including registration forms, advertising and marketing opportunities, and exhibit space agreements – is available online at
