Appellate Court Upholds Water Quality Management Planning (WQMP) Rules
In a decision issued last week, the state Appellate Division upheld the statutory authority of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in its adoption of problematic provisions of the 2008 WQMP rules.

Additional Wastewater Management Plan Public Information Meeting Scheduled – Salem County
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and Salem County has scheduled a meeting to discuss the draft sewer service area maps. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 22 notices at the WARE Building, located at 51 Cheney Road, Woodstown, between 5:30-8:30 pm. Comments on the map may be submitted for 30 days after each meeting.

Morris County Draft Wastewater Management Plan - Public Meeting
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and Morris County will hold a public meeting to discuss Morris County's draft sewer service area map on February 9 (5-8 p.m.) at the Morris County Library Public Meeting Room in Hanover Township. The NJDEP and Morris County officials will accept comments and information related to this map until March 9, 2011. Governor Signs Economic Stimulus Act
On July 27, 2009 NJBA added another win to our score sheet with the signing of the Economic Stimulus Act of 2009 (P.L.2009, c. 90). The law is yet another initiative intended to spur economic development, and, at NJBA's request, includes provisions to encourage residential development in urban areas.
Governor Signs Age 55+ Legislation
On July 2, 2009 Governor Jon Corzine enacted S2577 (Sarlo/Vitale/Greenwald/Malone).
